Elephant In The Room- Donald Trump’s winning polls, Should we lose hope already?

Let’s address the elephant in the room. When we first heard about it we thought it was a hilarious joke, Trump contesting for the presidential elections was for the bizarre section of the newspaper that featured news about dogs learning how to drive and new anorexia-inducing diets trending around the globe. People declared that they’d leave the country if he ever became the president. (Still all in jest, after all, wasn’t it more likely for an alien invasion to occur over that ever happening anyway?)

Trump’s meteoric rise among the ranks has raised eyebrows considering his controversial views about terrorism, immigration, women and pretty much everything else that matters. People starting switching from their daily soaps to the presidential electorate considering how entertaining it was. Incase you missed out, Trump expressed his views on how all Muslims should be deported from the country to stop terrorism. You think this is rather extreme? During his campaign speech, he stated that he would deport 11 million undocumented immigrants, build a wall on the southern border paid for by Mexico to avoid illegal immigrants because (sic) “They’re sending people who have lots of problems. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists.” No wonder his effigy was burnt down in Mexico City as a part of an Easter ritual. Barack Obama himself publicly criticized the presidential candidate by saying that Republican Donald Trump will not be president because it’s a “serious job.”

Hillary Clinton who is one of the democratic presidential candidates (We’ve all known how badly she’s been lobbying for it since the past few years, haven’t we?) She might have an easy win or will she? Considering trump’s ascent. It wouldn’t be a complete landslide victory although it is shocking that the numbers put light on how many Americans agree with Trump’s world views. I’d rather #FeelTheBern if you ask me.

Food for thought- Imagine a spinoff of house of cards starring Donald Trump as an unapologetically outspoken millionaire entrepreneur who wakes up one day and decides to become the president of one of the most powerful nations in the world), Hillary as a former secretary of state and wife of ex-president bill (who publicly comes out about his affair leading to his impeachment.) who is also a presidential candidate along with Bernie Sanders starring as the affable hamster in a wheel trying to survive in the White House zoo). I’d watch it, would you?
